It’s no secret that I have an undying appreciation for the film Ghostbusters and it’s 1989 sequel. I’ve followed the community for years, I designed one of the largest websites on the internet back in the late 90’s or early 00’s. (Of course that website has now officially been shut down.)
My friends and colleagues have teased me for years with this “obsession”. In college, I was geeky enough to draw Ghostbuster logos all over the dry-erase boards in my classes, and when the occasionally reunion would occur I would jump into an old tradition. (Once you develop a reputation like this, you HAVE to keep it up.)
So obviously, I’ve been following the development of Ghostbusters 3 since I was old enough to jump on the internet. (Which puts me somewhere around the age of 15 or 16)
A lot of my friends typically ask me what the latest is in the development of the film… and following so much I’ve learned a LOT. So I thought I’d put up this post and possibly put up some others in the future with FACTUAL information regarding the new sequel. Read the rest of this entry »
As we all know, Conan O’Brien’s run on The Tonight Show wrapped up last night. Featuring an apperance by Tom Hanks and a “Free Bird” Send off by Will Ferrell And Co.
But I think the most important thing that happened in the finale was a quote from Conan towards the end of show. Where he offered some words of wisdom that I think a lot of people should take to heart.
“All I ask of you, especially young people…is one thing. Please don’t be cynical,” O’Brien said. “I hate cynicism — it’s my least favorite quality and it doesn’t lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen. I’m telling you, amazing things will happen.” -Conan O’Brien
Since I was a kid, I’ve been able to sleep through anything — storms, sirens, you name it. Last night, I didn’t sleep. I guess I get a little goofy when I’m nervous. You see, today isn’t just any other day. It’s my first day. (Okay, that was from Scrubs)
With 5 years of professional experience as a designer, 2 years in art school and tons of unpaid student loans… I’m finally launching my website.
Sure, I’ve had some blogs up in the past, dedicated to adventures to Chicago and other places in the country… but I’ve never really sat down and actually created a website dedicated to my portfolio and all of the fun/interesting/dorky things that make me, well… me
Soooooooooooooooooo, take a look around — there’s much more to come. I promise.
